I’m confused, sorry. What’s this? ![]()
I’m sorry I’m confused what I had in the box before I delete it to put what you Jair sent wheee it was
Yeah, so what happened next?
Sorry I misspelled what. I was triying to say so basically I replaced what I had before with what type just sent than the new question I asked was what do I highlight for the ctrl part my script at the top for the background is and overlay is INT.KITCHEN1 - DAY with KITCHEN_LOOP1 I don’t really understand what Part do I highlight
The background should be EXT. BLUE - DAY and not INT.KITCHEN1; only the overlay name should change
Let me explain properly. If you want to loop a background, all you need is the background uploaded as an overlay with the size 1183 x 700. If it’s not this size, it would not loop properly.
Since you have uploaded the background as an overlay named KITCHEN_LOOP1 and you want speed 2, this would be your template.
EXT. BLUE - DAY with LOOP_OVERLAY to 1.625 0 0 in zone 1 at layer -5
&overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 create from LOOP_OVERLAY and overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 opacity 1 in 0
&overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 scales to 1.625 1.625 in 0 and overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 and overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 to layer -6
&overlay LOOP_OVERLAY shifts to -640 0 in 6 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY shifts to -960 0 in 3 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 6 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY shifts to 0 0 in 3 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY shifts to 0 0 in 0 loop INFINITE times
&overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 6 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to 0 0 in 3 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to 0 0 in 0 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to -640 0 in 6 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to -960 0 in 3 THEN overlay LOOP_OVERLAY_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 loop INFINITE times
Then, you highlight only LOOP_OVERLAY in your script. DO NOT highlight LOOP_OVERLAY_2. It should look like this. You can see that there’s a light blue box around all the “LOOP_OVERLAY”.
Then, hold down your Ctrl + F and this should pop up. Select All
Then the LOOP_OVERLAY would be fully highlighted
All you would do now is to type the name of your overlay (the bg you saved as an overlay), which in your case is KITCHEN_LOOP1, and then it should look like this
Code
EXT. BLUE - DAY with KITCHEN_LOOP1 to 1.625 0 0 in zone 1 at layer -5
&overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 create from KITCHEN_LOOP1 and overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 opacity 1 in 0
&overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 scales to 1.625 1.625 in 0 and overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 and overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 to layer -6
&overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1 shifts to -640 0 in 6 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1 shifts to -960 0 in 3 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 6 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1 shifts to 0 0 in 3 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1 shifts to 0 0 in 0 loop INFINITE times
&overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 6 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to 0 0 in 3 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to 0 0 in 0 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to -640 0 in 6 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to -960 0 in 3 THEN overlay KITCHEN_LOOP1_2 shifts to 0 0 in zone 2 in 0 loop INFINITE times
NOTE: You can see that the background is still EXT. BLUE - DAY. It’s not necessary at all to change it because either way it won’t show.
Ok let me try all of that now!
I fixed it I see the mistake I made but this is what it looks like but I kind of want my characters to be doing A emote right before it starts to move how would I do that and also I want to like stop the loop when it gets to A certain part of the page
There’s supposed to be a space before “in zone 1”, check and you’ll see what I mean. If you want the characters to be standing in a place before the background starts looping, just use the normal background as if you were coding a normal scene. Then when you want it to loop, use the Dara Amarie’s template and make sure that you spot the characters in the same place, and then when you want it to stop, change it back to the normal background
Both pictures are the same.
I kinda understand but at the same time not I did the background before overlay with the characters spots but like when it went on screen it didn’t really show like that but it said like it was able to do it this is my script and this is how it looks
and also how do I add to my script the spot directing for the overlay while it moves
Honestly, I’m confused as to what you’re trying to say
What I’m trying to do now is like have The normal background like you said and than have my character do A animation right before the loop starts and have the loop stop at A certain place but when I added the normal background it didn’t show up it still went just straight to the loop and my characters did not pop up either
Oh never mind I added what I was missing to it and now it works but thank you so much for your help!!!
