Took a little break from writing and I’ve already forgotten simple things
I’m trying to make an overlay flash really quickly and this is how I coded it
But nothing came up
It’s on the correct layer and place
Did you create your overlay before this? As in:
&overlay GREEN create

That is super strange as your code looks fine. Could you copy and paste it from the moment you do you &overlay create (or message it to me if you don’t want to post it publicly) so I can try it in my portal/see if I notice any errors?

sure thing, give me 2 minutes as i’m on my phone right now, and also i forgot to mention i didn’t use overlay create, i used the other way where you put it with the background
Doing it as part of the background should also be fine! You could possibly try doing it as not part of the background and see if that works for you, there’s been a couple times I’ve set up an overlay with the background and it hasn’t worked, but doing it separately with the create, shifts to, etc. fixed the problem.

i’ll give that a go a little later, i’ve switched my laptop off as i was hungry haha, i’ll let you know if it works, thanks for helping :))

i dunno, it looks fine to me
this is not necesarry but u could try using then to make it only one line and loop it for a few times
or maybe u misspelled an overlays name when u were uploading it to your overlays
maybe the overlay is half way throught transparent so you cant see it if opacity 0.5 …
or maybe u forgot to shift and scale the overlay
or you put the int. black - day/night as a background an which u cannot put overlays
You need to have a @pause for _ in between each line so that it pauses for a short second and play again and that will look like its flashing.
is the overlay on scene
? can it be theoverlay is in different zone?
can it be the overlay doesnt have the right size?
Can it be the overlay is on lower layer than character or other overlay so it is covered and therefore isnt visible?
