Hi! Can someone help me with how to have two characters do animations at the same time without talking with them?
&CHAR1 is animation
@CHAR2 is animation
@CHAR1 is animation AND CHAR2 is animation
I’m not sure exactly what you mean, but the & symbol will allow actions while other things are happening in the scene. You can put it before an action or command with an @.
&CHARACTER is laugh_giggle
&CHARACTER 2 is listen_gossip
@transition fade in black 2
I want them to have a reaction at the same time without dialogue
Remove the @ in front of NOAH.
it still says error
If you write word for word the line that is giving you an error here, maybe I could understand what’s happening better and help you out
thank you! Here is part of the script:
@LILLIAN is talk_shrug NOAH is arms_crossed
@transition fade out white 5
INT. MUSEUM INTERIOR - DAY
the errors are the second and last line
You need to remove those @'s in front of NOAH. @ should only be used once per line at the beginning. Also, you need to use the word “and” to connect 2 different commands.
@LILLIAN is talk_shrug and NOAH is arms_crossed
@LILLIAN exits right and NOAH exits right
@LILLIAN enters left to screen left and NOAH enters left to screen centre
thank you! the first part is fixed-
the last line still says error? sorry to keep bugging you
I think it’s because either you didn’t put “and” in all caps or it should be center not centre
omg lol thank you!
And does not have to be in all caps.
Huh, I always do that in my code. Don’t know why, but good to know!
Cheers to all those that responded! Closing thread
