From ss I’ve seen it’s crazy. I still can’t get in

lol. Some of the stuff I’ve seen I’m like ok why……
Exactly what we was trying to warn u abt lol
Everyone was trying to cuss lol . People were getting publically warned
I just joined the forums a few weeks ago and it’s been super helpful and easy to navigate. I don’t know a thing about discord, my kids use it for their online gaming but it’s just not something I can see myself adjusting to. I feel like I’m going to be on my own with writing once the forums close. Unless there’s another easier platform the us non discord users can use and start our own group or something lol. Not to mention I have too many apps on my phone and iPad to begin with, I don’t have room for more (unless discord can be used on a regular laptop, maybe I’d try it out. Ugh while I understand the “out with the old, in with the new” concept, I’m getting too old to keep up with all the new social media platforms lol.
Just finding out about this, can’t believe the forums are closing down.I’ve met a lot of cool people here, and the forums really helped my story get noticed. I have used Discord before, don’t hate it but don’t love it either. Maybe I’ll give it a shot but I am upset that the forums are closing. I know that numbers have declined but whose fault is that.
I got an invite to the Discord and I just thought it would be another site people can go to, not a replacement. We’ll see how it goes, but this is a downer. I would rather the forum stays open.
Wonder if this is going to be an Animations Update 2.0?
Save as much as you can atp, and dara-amarie.com/ website will help you go through coding and learning. If you try out the discord, you don’t need to have app, you can access it via website as well, I’m doing it on my laptop only for example. And there is a directing/coding help channel if you get too lost with your episode journey, I bet someone will help you there as well.
I know some of the Episode community uses Reddit, which has a similar structure to the forums, and there’s some activity, but it’s not as organized the forums.
This quote expresses so many amazingly valid and well thought out points. I can understand wanting to change their method of reaching people in order to reach more younger people, but to completely cut off an entire method of reaching the people that actually make content and boost their content? It makes very little sense.
I know that this might not do much, but I won’t go down without trying. I have created a petition in hopes of saving this website, at least for viewing purposes. Please check it out.
I’ve signed it!

Thank you! I’ve never done a petition like this before, and it is very exhilarating.
Ive signed it as well
Signed! Why cant they do both or just lock forums for now? Why are they getting rid of everyones hard work? ![]()
Exactly! I can understand thinking that they need to reach a different audience, but shutting an entire group of people down? It shows they are giving up. I’m not.
Said the same exact thing! It doesn’t make sense to me
Also, please share the link to the Discord server and/or Instagram. This is the closest thing I have to social media, so I am counting on other people to help spread the word.
Ngl, my first thought when I read the news was that Episode is closing the forum just to save money! Web hosting and domain names alone can cost quite a sum each month, and then, of course, you need admins and mods who want to be paid. As someone else mentioned, updating the forum would also cost money (e.g., web designers) while Discord is free.
Although I have used Discord frequently in the past few years, I am firmly convinced that a server can never replace such an extensive forum as that of the Episode community. At the end of the day, Discord is mainly a huge chat software and nothing else. I also think that the mods there won’t be able to keep up with maintaining order, banning trolls and bullies, or deleting offensive messages. As already mentioned, it is far too large an open space that can certainly be abused by many for negative purposes.
For the reasons already mentioned (and some personal ones), I will be among those who do not migrate to Discord and would rather leave the platform entirely if Episode intends to make it as difficult as possible for authors to gain reach and readership!
Well said
