To remember outfits? A yes/no choice needs to be inside each option.

how you stay with the same outfit choice in the next episode?

Ok this is very helpful. Thanks! I’m a newbie at writing haha.

I’m very new to this, how do you reset progress? And how can I remember the outfit in the next scene? :dizzy_face:

Can you give an example? :pray:

Or will it save itself? I’m completely confused…:persevere:
Btw, I didn’t use the same template as @sudanese.gurl . Does that make any difference?

When you’re testing your story in the app, tap on Navigation, then tap on Reset Story Progress.

If you didn’t make your character change into a different outfit between the current scene and the next scene, then the character will stay in the outfit you chose in the next scene.

Can you remember the outfits in later chapters or do you have to do it all over?

In the guide above, it tells you how to remember outfits for future chapters.

Your topics are very useful :heart_eyes:
I have a question:
In my story I want to create choices that will affect the future.
For example:

if you choose to trust your best friend in episode 1, then in episode 3 he will remember that you trusted him and he will help you.
if you choose to don’t trust your best friend in episode 1, then in episode 3 he will remember it and he won’t help you.
as Same like realtionships, friendships etc.

I thought I had to use gains, like:
EPISODE 1
Choice
“FREAK OUT” {
MC talks…

gain FREAKOUT
}

“Calm down and sound like pi**ed off” {
MC talks…

gain Calm down and sound like pi**ed off
}

EPISODE 3
if (FREAKOUT) {
Friend “I’ll help you!”

} else (Calm down and sound like pi**ed off) {
Friend “I won’t help you”

}

AND

In my story I want to create choices that will affect the future.
For example:

if you choose to trust your best friend in episode 1, then in episode 3 he will remember that you trusted him and he will help you.
if you choose to don’t trust your best friend in episode 1, then in episode 3 he will remember it and he won’t help you.
I thought I had to use gains, like:
EPISODE 1
Choice
“Trust him” {
MC talks…

gain trust_friend
}

“Don’t trust him” {
MC talks…

gain notrust_friend
}

EPISODE 3
if (trust_friend) {
Friend “I’ll help you!”

} else {
Friend “I won’t help you”

}

Will it work or I have to change something? Do I have to use labels or goto?
Does not working! and i’m so confused.

This is correct.

This one is not correct. else needs to be by itself

Gain names cannot be more than 1 word or have spaces. I suggest you shorten that second gain name to something like gain calm_and_pissed

Also, like I said in my reply before, the else needs to be by itself with nothing in parentheses next to it.

You need to hit enter. You have your other choice right next to a curly bracket. Just click between them and hit enter then save and the problem should be fixed. If anything watch Joseph Evans tutorials online! :smiley:
