So… I have a fairly new (5 episodes) vampire story, in which I’ve done something different, the MC is a teen still, and herself is the vamp. And I wanna make sure not to get any backlash by using stereotypes that I could just not use in the first place. So, what are some Vampire stereotypes in episode stories that people hate?

Lust/sexy overly s3xualized vampire human relationships(saying how hot/innocent MC is/saying how hot vampire is/describing how u want nothing more than to be a human suck bag for the vampire)
No darm werewolves or other magical creatures focus just a vampire…cuz its vampire story
Vampires being 1000x ruthless and cold saying rude crap but…u want me to romance him…no
Vampires being hecka soft
I dont wanna just fall into lust cuz a vampire OMG HAWT I CANT RESIST LETS SLEEP TOGETHER NOW. I dont wanna kick the vampire in his privates cuz IM SUPER STRONG RAWR GURL POWER DONT TOUCH ME.

I want my vampire to be a good mix of ruthless/sarcastic and soft(not mean. Blunt snarky teaseful etc etc)

A customizable MC
Cool victorian house
No vamp love triangle
A MC who dresses goth/alt. no crop tops mini skirts and all tht jazz(use those cute lolots dresses ppl loathe for some reason. Theres lotta cute alt/dark clothed no one uses)
CHOICES…tht matter for more points from me hahah I wanna shape how MC reacts to vampires and things around her.
A story that focuses on the history of a small creepy but charming town with secrets and vampiric lore. A good mix of love town exploration friendships romance mystery always and things tht flesh out a story.

Things I don’t like in vampire stories
- Vampire f***boys—AKA—vampires who sleep with a bunch of other girls
- Brooding and moody vampires
- 100 year old vampire x 16-18 year old MC (for once, I’d like the female MC to be around 90 so the age gap isn’t questionable)
- Vampires going to school or college (just, why?)
- “I can’t control myself when I’m around her.”
- Werewolves. I thought this was strictly a vampire story.
- A vampire and a human having a baby together. Gross.
- A million other vampires love the MC because her blood is apparently delicious to all of them. That’s not how it works.
- Misrepresentation of a vampire in general
Basically, don’t be like Twilight and make the MC around the same age as the vampire LI. Also, try to make her seem like a real person with hobbies a personality, and flaws. Same with the vampire.

Most of those are making me think: “Boy, am I glad my MC is a girl & the vampire”.
I’m fine with vampires, my inner 13 year old still loves cliche vampire stories. I’m a big sucker for fantasy stories in general. But it does become weird when you give him/her as many jobs titles as Barbie (Aka bad boy billionaire gangster werewolf alpha vampire prince) because overpowering someone, or just smacking literally every sterotype ever, just makes a cliche (which I generally don’t have a problem with) even more cliche and cringe.

That humans in the episode always lust over the vampire guy
When vampires can do whatever they want and feed on whoever they want and the humans do nothing(its not realistic)
