First of all, i really don’t think that the character should talk to the player cause the character is basically THE player
And I think you took that whole weirdo thing a little too far
I don’t mean to insult anybody, I’m so sorry if I did 
I just think that the plot is really good but you need to give the character personality that everyone is comfortable with since there are many different readers

But something bother me in there
I guess the background was just with way too much things and it was hard to focus on the character 
Plus, i suggest you to introduce all the players together and then say something about every one of them in separate scenes
