Well said, I hope for a better Forums also so there won’t be anymore issues with users getting so confused about what they’re doing right or wrong. I feel Episode sometimes is not so clear with the Forum rules and I wish they would clear it out more in the future. Oh and they should take into consideration the flagging system again. Even though I know it may be tricky for them to check every comment but I’d like them to just consider it more especially before suspending a user and stuff so it won’t turn out to be unfair.

Yeah, you weren’t saying anything wrong but unfortunately the flagging system here is pretty abused. Which is exactly why I want Episode to take that into consideration and be more flexible with their rules too.

I asked Arlene regarding the silencing problem and this is what she answered me:

On the silencing, not to my knowledge. At least not for that reason. We don’t silence/ban people for asking questions. Even pointed questions. Unfortunately, some of the time people who ask those questions also have broken multiple rules either here on the forum or elsewhere and they end up banned/silenced. But it is never because they asked questions. That would not even be part of the reason for silencing.

Nine times out of ten, when someone gets silenced on the forum it is because they cannot stay on topic for God nor money and the mods end up having to shut them down so they stop derailing threads all over the place. Or it is because they don’t grok the difference between debate and name-calling and arguing. Or they like to stir the pot/troll. But never because they asked a question alone. If that has happened, it should not. In fact, if you see it happen you should send in a ticket ATT: Arlene since I am the direct supervisor for the forum team. Amongst other teams.

I dunno if I disagree with this, personally! Talking about banned user isn’t against any of the formal forum rules, yet you can get silenced for doing it! Even if you mention them in the OP. You can’t be off topic in your own OP!
