Hey everyone, I am doing a shower scene where my character is having some deep thoughts. When I don’t have the character in the scene the Heavy Rain weather effect works properly but as soon as I place the character in the spot the Heavy rain turns into lines going all different directions across the screen. If anyone has a solution to this I would greatly appreciate it!!!

Hmm, this one is kind of a tough one but because I found this help request on my notification bar, I thought I could help you out on the issue the best way I know possible 
. 1.) What about saving your work first after you’ve deleted the rain scene; like, don’t save your work with the rain scene, you’ll come back to it later after these steps. 2.) After that, get out of Episode writing and refresh your phone… maybe it’s an issue with your phone (if it has happened before interrupting your story writing) or it’s about the network/signal from where you come from. 3.) After refreshing your phone and the network is good/ great signals, come back to Episodes writing and try displaying the rainy scene in your story and then, check out if everything is alright

If you’re talking about how it looks on the writer portal, I think it’s fairly normal to look all crazy and glitchy with the rain there. Check it on the app it should look normal. If you’re meaning it’s doing the same thing on the app then I don’t know lol sorry!

Don’t worry, that’s normal. Some weather effects don’t even show up at all, on the portal! Rain always does this weird fuzzy thing across the screen… and snow always makes the screen look 50% whiter, but in the app everything appears exactly as it should.

Just put an overlay one layer higher than any character, it doesn’t even have to be visible. Although, as others have pointed out, it works fine in the app. It’s just a bug in the writers portal that the developers have never fixed.
