Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Is it your best?
Which is your worst?
Which do you wish you were better at?
Which one is your favorite to read?
Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!

No need to answer all! Just being nosy :joy:

For me:
Favorite to write is Fantasy, but I’m not sure anymore if it’s my best.
It’s really hard to write for that one
My worst is comedy when I attempt it. I’m only “funny” in real life… I think -_-
I wish I was better at mystery, maybe comedy.
I like reading romance sometimes, fantasy, and adventure.
I stay away from romance and drama if it seems too cliche and I don’t think I’d try and write a drama story.

You?

  1. Romance
  2. Nah i think fantasy is my best
  3. Drama
  4. Horror
  5. Horror, adventure and fantasy
  6. Cliche romance and drama

#3

Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Comedy.

Is it your best?
Considering how bad I would be in any other genre, I believe this is my best.

Which is your worst?
Literally anything else. I’m unable to write about serious topics, and although I have romance in my stories, I usually portray it weirdly, poorly and parody-natured.

Which do you wish you were better at?
I’m fine with comedy. I tried to write a fantasy story once then realized I can’t let my imagination go that far, because I am already crazy enough

Which one is your favorite to read?
Comedy and drama.

Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!
I don’t like horror or anything that gives me negative vibes like stories with bullying, abuse etc.

#4

Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Comedy
Is it your best?
By far
Which is your worst?
Romance. I haven’t tried fantasy, action or horror/thriller but I’d guess I’d be terrible at them too.
Which do you wish you were better at?
I wish I could do romance better, since I do include it in most stories, despite it not being the main story line.
I wish I could do mystery too. I hope one day, I’ll take the time out to write a really good mystery episode.
Which one is your favorite to read?
I like most genres tbh, but I end up reading a lot of comedy because that’s the genre I write in and I have to sus out my competition :smirk:
Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!
Not a huge fan of horror/thriller, since I get scared pretty easily

#5

Which one is your favorite to read?

Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!

#6

Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Drama for sure!
Is it your best?
I really think it is, never really tried any other genre but I’m a drama Queen so I guess drama is my best.
Which is your worst?
Fantasy. Can’t even think of plots for this genre :joy:
Which do you wish you were better at?
Mystery, I love this genre and I wish I could write a good mystery story.
Which one is your favorite to read?
I can’t get enough of drama stories.
Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!
I don’t read fantasy much, but I’m not staying away from it. I’m just really picky when it comes to this genre because I’m not really connected to it.

#7
  1. Fantasy
  2. Romance/Fantasy
  3. Comedy, I have that cynical/meme style sense of funny that not all people get.
  4. Adventure and Drama
  5. Those cliche romance

#8

Drama
Lol not sure…
Comedy.
Action…
Drama/Mystery.
I stay away from those pregnant stories (cliche Romance).

#9

Love this! Interesting to see everyone’s strengths, dislikes, and favorites

#10

Favorite genre to write? Probably romance. I love romance stories and love writing about those special moments between 2 people that come together.

My best? I don’t know :woman_shrugging: Maybe? I feel like I write some good drama too sometimes :joy:

Worst? Probably comedy, I can throw off a few funny things here and there but writing a lot of it wouldn’t come out well.

Wish I was better at some mystery/thriller stuff. Those are always exciting to read but I’m horrible at that kind of stuff.

I can’t pick 1 favorite but I love romance, drama and fantasy.

There’s no genre I stay away from, I’m open to anything entertaining.

#12

Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Thriller and/or mystery.

Is it your best?
Yes

Which is your worst?
Romance and fantasy.

Which do you wish you were better at?
Romance. Like @amberose, I include it in most of my stories but I’m so bad at it that it makes me cringe lol.

Which one is your favorite to read?
Mystery and thriller (provided the stories are really mysteries/thrillers and not just thrown in those genres for reads :expressionless:)

Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!
I read pretty much anything, but fantasy and romance would be my least favourites (although it completely depends on the plot!).

#13

Fantasy. I’m the most inspired to write it & I get so excited from stories in the genre itself. I love to read/write fantasy, action, drama & sci-fi. I wish I was better at writing drama honestly. I have a story coming up on Wattpad & Episode that I feel has a dramatic plot but sometimes I just want to end it and pretend it doesn’t exist then at the same time I’m so excited and can’t wait to do it. It’s definitely not my strong suit but I love my story & want to bring it to life. I decided to not throw any of my stories away but rather just work on it when I feel like it lol

#14

Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Action
Is it your best?
Idk but I enjoy writing action
Which is your worst?
Comedy because that genre in general bores me
Which do you wish you were better at?
Mystery, I can’t think that much ahead to write a mystery story
Which one is your favorite to read?
as long as the story is good it doesnt matter.
Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!
high school stories

#15

Which genre is your favorite to write in?
Action/Mistery
Is it your best?
Yes
Which is your worst?
Romantic
Which do you wish you were better at?
FANTASY!! I just can’t edit my story that much.
I like adventure and action stories
Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading!
I stay away from bad boys stories

#16

Which genre is your favorite to write in? Romance and drama for sure!
Is it your best? I mean… I like to think it is lmao.
Which is your worst? FANTASY. :unamused:
Which do you wish you were better at? FANTASY. :unamused:
Which one is your favorite to read? Idk. Anything really. So long as it’s creative and well written!
Any genres you stay away from? Writing or reading! I avoid writing Fantasy simply because I suck at it. No matter how hard I try, it just doesn’t happen. :unamused: As for reading, I typically stay away from the usual Episode cliches we all know and love lol.

#17

Lol poor cliche stories are getting no love here :joy:

#18

Maybe I’m weird but I don’t mind cliche stories.:see_no_evil: Usually.

Most stories I’ve read that start off cliche-like always seem to have their own twists and turns in them they keep me interested. Or they have really likeable characters I can’t get enough of. I don’t often just stop reading stories unless they make no sense, have horrible directing/grammar or if they’re boring. :woman_shrugging:

#19

Nah you’re not weird. Some cliches warm my heart a bit  Marriage by Law, Royal Baby, I Married a Prince, Recently Royal, and more. If it’s a bad boy or pregnant story, I’m usually hesitant. I read Royal Baby though because I love royal stories haha. I agree on the no sense, boring, bad grammar and directing part. It’s too much of a bad thing
