Donāt worry too much about your story being too boring. Itās easy to get bored with a story if youāre the one writing it, because u usually spend so long on the same scenes, rereading the same lines, and thinking about the story concept for long periods of time.

Topics like this are GOLD! I use some of these in my story for when my MC uses the episode app, just so she has something to complain about.
I donāt have CC in my story and I guess thatās why half the people leave my story on the first episode. 
If youāre getting Fanmail that says they love it, youāre doing something right. Donāt focus on the ones that leave your story.

Also, what bores me in a story, is an art scene with no animation, slowly zooming around with cliche dialog.
How that story got 1.5 million reads just boggles the mind.

Interesting! I looked up the story and it now says 480K reads. I was a beta reader for the book club feature in Nov 2021 and the story Hunter was picked. At the time it was showing 1.5m reads. Read 12 chapters (each chapter was worth 3 points), hated every minute of it. Well, I āreadā the first chapter and tried to quickly tap through the rest, but it didnāt work out because there were so many slow pans on artwork.
Ended up reading Summer Fever instead, so much better, even though every chapter was only worth 1 point. Saved my sanity and it was a great story too.

Iāve been guilty of doing these topics many times, before realizing that the outside world does exist. I ended up scrapping those stories or revamping them leaving just a little cliche (just not the hurl type of cliche thatās too much cliche)

Oh yeah, I hate that. Itās like the mom is only there because the MC is a teenager and needs parental control and for nothing else, she brings nothing to the story nor anything. At least in the two stories Iām writing, in one story the mother is concerned for her daughter and helping her, while in the other sheās almost an enemy where she doesnāt believe the MC about what actually happened
Oh my god yes, theyāre there to be the funny side character, the comic relief, but theyāre not funny and they come off as either mean, pushy or both.
Even the movies involving mean girls werenāt as basic as some of these stories
Okay this might be just me, but Iām too lazy to change the lip color every time my character goes to sleep ā¦ Plus is thatās how my readers customize their chars itās their fault because Iām not putting in a customization scene for every night just so they can remove the lipstick ā¦ Unneccessary and constant CC is probably a big no-no.
Have you ever thought about mixing these two up? Having the MC seem all perfect and sweet when the story is seen from her perspective, but mean and condenscending from other characterās perspective? This is probably also true because people rationalize everything they do, and they often do that with their flaws.
Oh yes! I love the story Iām currently making becuase Iām teaching everybody about the way things worked in the Regency era ā¦ Thatās a hyperfixation of mine ā¦

I havenāt heard of that, but thereās certainly a movie like that. Thereās no way nobody explored that in literature and media before and thereās certainly a few stories like that out there, somewhere.

I think The Last Duel has something like that. We get to see from everyoneās perspectives and it is not at all the same, lol.
