Hey guys! I am writing a story, but I really don’t know how to make it not look like a cliche or like the classic bad boy’s stories
I’ve seen some people say they don’t like it when Mc presents themself at the beginning (which is what I did) but I don’t really know how to start… a memory? future scenes? a normal day for the Mc?
other people saying they don’t like no CC (which is what I did) but I will have specific overlays&art scenes
I am really insecure about my story now with all of those dos and don’ts!

The important thing to remember about these opinions is that writing is incredibly subjective. There are things in my story that people don’t like, and there are things in some of the most successful stories on the app that people don’t like. At the end of the day, you should write the story exactly as YOU want it. There may be a few that don’t like it, but chances are that there will be a lot of people who do. Part of what makes a story good is when you can tell the author is passionate about it. Writing it the way you envision is an important factor in that.

i partially agree with @queenscribbles . You can’t make a story to please everybody. That’s pretty much impossible. You’ll always have people that don’t like what you’re writing but you’ll have some that really do like the story. Some people like no CC, some people like bad boys, and intros are hard, but you should write the inro based on what makes the story flows in your opinion. Yes, you can take other people’s suggestions into thought, but don’t stress about trying to please everybody.

ty, i am still going to follow my ideas, but i think it will be better if i get others’ ideas too! ik i cant satisfy everyone, but, at least, i’ll make it flow by itself and not over-dramatize it

First thing is character development write down everything about the personality backstories goals motivation what they want to achieve in life what’s the conflict in the story?
That will make it different from a cliche.
I also recommend to planned out your stories.
Try out www.storyplanner.com my friend @GennieG recommended that for me and been doing it since then.
If you’re having trouble with ideas think about what you want too write. And try reading others stories or listening to music or showing t.v. movies.
And mostly write for you no matter how cliche it is and not a cliche write for yourself and nobody else. Some people like cliches and some don’t.
But cliches aren’t all bad just add twist and turns.
Make it interesting add in your own experience or from t.v or movies don’t copy from them just make like the way you want it.

Yeah, that’s understandable it’s nothing wrong with asking other people for ideas or help but don’t overdo it or worry about it.
As long as you are satisfied with your story that’s all that matters.
Some people will be there to help you and then some people are just plaid mean and don’t care.
That’s just reality.

I also ask for help on my story as well and many reviews took there advice to change some things and made the changes.
It goes back to what @SeleneXO said write the story for YOU no matter how many dislike or like it write it for yourself.

PREACH! Yes, this is what I needed to read to feel more confident! Some people might not like your story, but we all have different tastes! A lot of people will like your story as well!
