What do you do when you have writers block?

I currently have writers block so I’m looking to kill sometime and ask you guys what do you guys do when you have writers block? When’s the last time you had it? How often do you get it?

I like to listen to music or reread my work when I get writers block. Sometimes I play a game or watch TV shows/movies too.

I usually watch movies, listen to music and read but I also find that sitting in silence helps me strangely enough. The boredom finally gets to me and all I can think about is my story. I can come up with something pretty good or something totally ridiculous but at least I’m thinking. I also remind myself that just because it’s already coded doesn’t mean it can’t be erased or changed. I think we all put pressure on ourself to write everyday as well. At most I like to take a 1-2 day break from writing. Oh and going on car rides helps me too sometimes because of the change in scenery. Hope that makes sense lol

motivation and writers block is a weird thing for me, it comes and goes at the most random times and it sucks  its been a while since ive last had writers block which im happy about, but something that helps me with it is reading/watching things. more specifically if theres a certain project im working on, i’ll read/watch stuff within that same genre to try and get that inspiration back

SKip the scene, maybe even a chapter, and write another one, then return later.

Take a break, do something totally else than writing on episode. Don’t look at fanmails, don’t take notes, do something totally else. Walk the dog, talk to neighbors, irritate your little brother or take care of your cactus. (Or walk your cactus.) You’re allowed to do something else than writing on episode, you’re human after all. After a while you get inspiration back, at the moment you’d least expect.

Yes, I did that recently. I started a new chapter so I wouldn’t waste time.

I typically plan my stories and I think that’s an excellent way to prevent writer’s block. But, if I ever get writer’s block I basically take a break and brainstorm and see if I get any ideas. Another thing I do is write a script for all the episodes of my story and I don’t just plan one episode. Instead, I plan multiple episodes.
