I just wan’t your opinions on what you guys think about Episode spotlight story format

Because Im personally not a fan of it, but i enjoy other interactive games (like Choices and Stories) that use this format.

Im not a fan. I think what sets episode apart from its competitors is the use of full character direction and it kinda just feels like episode only added it because all the other apps use that format. For me personally it takes me out of the episode and the moment i realize a story is spotlight i usually stop reading. I personally dont get why you would choose to tell your story in the least visually interesting way when you have other options. It just feels very primitive compared to episode cinematic

Omg I can’t stand it. There are a couple of spotlight stories I’d love to read, but I just can’t get myself to do it (same with Ink, lol)
I feel like it just looks super weird with the backgrounds, plus directing is a hugely important story component for me.

Imo, it’s just a format from the episode style. I don’t really know what to think about it…

Well personally I don’t like it lol, If I start reading a story which I think is Limelight but is in Spotlight I’ll just stop reading it. And If I’m not wrong there was a featured story with that format, But after a while It disappeared

I actually really like it because it looks so much cleaner than cinematic. Only downsides are that the getting your character on the right side is hard asf, and can’t really use running or sitting animations.

When a story has it, I immediately click it off.
