I was wondering what everyone thinks of chapters that are roughly about 10 minutes long…

Personally, 7 minutes is the perfect length for me.

I’ve been trying to get my first episode down to about 8ish because I’ve found I prefer episodes about that length (makes for easier binge reading) but I’m having the hardest time

when a chapter is 10 minutes long i always wish it was a couple minutes longer, but i still read stories with chapters that length

It depends on the content of the chapter, I can always tell when an author was trying to hit a certain length and ended up adding useless fluff that contributes nothing to the story and distracts from the plot. If at, for instance, seven minutes it feels like a natural stopping point in the story that’s where the chapter should end.

It definitely depends for me… tbh I don’t like seeing INT. BLACK with a whole 2-minute narration. And I don’t want to see narration where MC stands still and just talks about her life. I prefer it being shown… for example, if she’s a nerd and she gets picked on, show people pushing her, throwing her books etc. Don’t just make her tell it. Basically make a montage.
I think the flow is what’s important. An eight-minute episode with the good flow can be better than a fifteen minute episode with boring narrations.

I personally find I like different lengths for different things. I’ve found episodes that are 6-10 minutes in length make for easier binge reading. Personally, lately, I’ve been really liking episodes that are around 7-9 minutes.
