So I wrote my first episode book and I lowkey kinda am disappointed with it so I’m writing a different story! But what I was wondering is what draws in readers on the first chapter!
Personally for me I like loads of description boxes of the scene and not just dialogue. And tbh I like being able to customise as well
i’m personally not a fan of overused story concepts such as mafia, bad boy, new girl, girl finds out shes “special”. it’s been done multiple times, it kinda puts me off the story knowing there’s 50 others out there exactly the same as this one.
If the description is good (without typo’s) and the concept is interesting then that’s what personally draws me into a story.
Well in my personal opinion I don’t like fantasy cliche (unless there’s a peculiar twist) It also has to be LL I’m sorry but I don’t read anything else .
I’m also attracted to CC and as you can tell fantasy. The main stuff is LL CC and fantasy, action or horror stories
I hate when the author explains too much, like try to ‘show don’t tell’, and try to start your story with a unique scenario
Haha I’m not writing fantasy but I wanted to say thank you for answering because it means a lot to me
Ooo yes! I can totally relate to that!!! I do struggle with descriptions but I’m getting better at them day by day!
I’m currently doing that. I wrote my first draft than I rewrote it with an interesting first scene! So thank you so much for that advice!
