Hi guys! I just came to a shocking and scary realization: when you edit a chapter the reader will be granted an extra pass to re-read it.
But what happens to the choices the reader made in that chapter and the gems he/she spent? Is he going to have to re-pay the gems?
This doubt is eating me alive!
And if I do add a “skip the chapter” at the start of the chapters I re-edited will the choices of the past time they played it be saved?
This is a serious concern cause I have edited most of my chapters after publishing!
I don’t know how it works with gem choices, but if someone skips an episode after you have updated it, the choices they previously made (and the gains you might have added) will not be remembered

NO WAY this is so bad! I will then not add the option to skip the chapter but I must be extra careful with not changing them once published
you can always make your readers make the choices again if they choose to skip the episode

Yes I could but I have a LOT of choices
From my experience, I haven’t had to re-pay gems for gems choices I’ve already paid for even when forced to re-read so when I see them for the second time around, they appear free (white with no 
) and the most episodes I’ve been forced to read again is just a single episode not multiple.
As far as I know, it’s just the gains, points etc that are not remembered for the chapter that they’re forced to re-read, it doesn’t mean they’d lose all of their “progress” from all of the previous episodes they’ve already read, just the one they were up to and need to read again. Although some readers do experience glitches where they lose a lot more or all of their points etc and if that happens, I suggest that you urge them to send a ticket.
I think you should be fine, but if you’re actively editing your episodes, it might be better to lock your story (just put an endless loop at the end of an episode) so readers won’t be forced to re-read all of the time and then unlock it when you’re done.
