Hi. I have a Jamaican MC in my story! I would like to know what to do and what not to do! Also, my episodes take place in Kingston Jamaica for a little while. So I also want to know what they do there!

I am of Jamaican descent (literally all sides of my family), so I can give you some insight. Unfortunately not anything like current current as I’m not actively living there, but that is the environment I grew up in. Shoutout to queen @lanafrazer_episode for posting this on her story or else wouldn’t have seen it.

hmmm, currently I can’t think of any off the top of my head besides maybe kinda sorta how Jamaicans speak? The language is English primarily with a dialect called “patois or patwa(h)” . Some people find it extremely difficult to understand {I’ve seen many youtube comments under Sean Paul’s music where people have said they can’t understand a word he is saying). It’s just like people in the U.S. have varying accents, depending on where your from, the same can be said for Jamaicans who live in cities versus rural areas. Jamaica was also a British colony so you may see some crossover in the wording that is used.

the main stereotypes that jamaicans have that they don’t like is the whole thing about them always smoking weed and how it is common in jamaican culture to work multiple jobs, in my opinion it makes them look like hard workers but for some reason a lot of my jamaicans (including my dad) don’t like for it to be brought up.

Okay in Kingston Jamaica we go shopping we go clubbing and we go to the big Market called coronation Market and you can get a lot of vegetable has lots of anything you need that is vegetable has any need for your house and it is a place known for a lot of shopping that’s all I know and anything you want you can find it at Kingston Jamaica that’s all I was going about Kingston
