I keep seeing authors asking for beta readers, but I don’t actually understand what they are
They’re readers who test your story before it’s published. They check for any bugs or issues and give you feedback.

Beta reader is someone who read your story before you publish, and give it a review, point out mistakes and how to improve the story.
