HELP guys I am writing a story and episode keeps telling me UNEXPECTED STRING. What is it and what can I do to fix it ?
Post a screenshot of your script
Sure just a second
I am quite new so it might be something dumb
Line 419 shouldn’t be there. That’s not how a choice should look. It looks like your trying to combine a choice with remembering a choice. Just delete line 419
Ohh sure I will try removing it thank you !
Can you copy and paste lines 2507 to 2553 here so I can test it out?
yea!

Okay so you have a lot of errors going on.
-
Lines 2528 and 2552, you need to remove the @ signs in front of the reader messages and you need to capitalize the M’s (readerMessage)
-
You didn’t close off the elif on line 2530. So you need to add another end bracket } on line 2554 to close it off.
-
On lines 2514 and 2537, those are the same labels and you can’t have the same label used more than once. I don’t see that you have any goto’s that lead back to the label. If you don’t need to go back to start those choices over again, you can just delete those labels. Otherwise you will need to add a “2” to the label on line 2537 so you don’t get a duplicate label warning.
-
What you have inside of your “if” and “elif” isn’t formatted correctly. It looks like you’re using the choice option names. The correct way to format the if/elif with option names is this: (CHOICENAME is “Option Name”). Read up on this guide here: https://www.dara-amarie.com/remember-choice
Ok ty! Ill try fixing those
