What is one piece of your script that will go under-appreciated to the average reader?

I spent 3 hours last night coding a ~15 second scene, paying close attention to detail. I feel like the average reader would see it as pretty cool, but it was incredibly hard to do and took a lot of time.

Drop some pics or a vid of your under-appreciated scene so we can appreciate it together. It can be a scene with a lot of characters placed (we all know how spot directing can be), a scene with a lot of subtle advanced directing, or one that used too many overlays to keep a person sane.

This is my scene, drop your’s below!

I don’t really have a specific scene but i edit A LOT of backgrounds to make sure theyre perfect for what im going for. It’s like really little things like editing a restaurant to have 3 seats in a zone instead of 2 so theres no cutting to one character sat alone
There would be a lot of awkward zooms and things if I just left the backgrounds alone lol
ALSO that scene looks so cool I can imagine how long that took to code lol

Dang that is dedication. I don’t fully understand because I usually just stick to awkward cuts and zooms :skull: but I imagine it can take a while.

And thanks

I think it was a glitch because I exited out and went back in, and it went back to being writer’s portal-y.

Anyway, here are some screenshots. I made the BG using overlays sksksk.

Wait, there’s more!

The first one uses clones of the characters in poses on a screen. Zedyn looks weird from a previous play-through because mobile preview is weird.

The second one is just funny.

The third and fourth are from a scene that had more people and therefore qualifies for this thread.

That happened to me too the other day.

I feel like it took me 3 years just to code this 5 second pan.

Probably this entire tappable CC template that I made for one of my upcoming stories.

The coding for this was beyond intense. Plus there’s so many overlays included, too! It took me hours to design and make each overlay, then set up and code it all. :weary:

Aww, thank you! Once the story is out… I hope you’ll love it! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I could never! The coding would kill me :sob:

It would be useful for limited CC, though.

It has to be the action sequence in my solo :joy: Because there are so many action going on, I pretty much have to code and check line by line to make sure it’s smooth instead of random spurt of animations that don’t even make sense :joy:
There are little lines in those sequences, but they do take a lot of effort to code. Currently, I’m torturing myself whilst coding the last two episodes of Season 1 for my solo.
