This is a question from someone who really doesn’t know. Ok, I know how you celebrate it to thank the Lord for everything and you eat turkey.
But what I am wondering is, how long do you prepare for that day?
Are you free from work and school the whole week?
Do you bake and cook everything by yourself or do you buy what you need?
Do you visit your family in another state or do they visit you?
Does Thanksgiving have the same meaning today as in the past?
How long someone would prepare I think would just be the whole day, but students are free from school that whole week. I’m sure now days people don’t cook everything from scratch so they definitely do go and buy it. It really just depends on whether you’re going or your family is coming, we change it every year. Thanksgiving definitely isn’t the same way it was before. Long ago all stores and restaurants and all that used to be closed on thanksgiving day. Ever since walmart started staying open other stores did too to compete. Now more people spend their thanksgiving early black friday shopping.

My family typically spends Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday making food. Are you free from work and school the whole week?
At my school we get Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off, but we have to go to school Monday and Tuesday. Do you bake and cook everything by yourself or do you buy what you need?
We usually make everything from scratch. Do you visit your family in another state or do they visit you?
All of my family lives in the same state, but we have Thanksgiving at my Aunts house.
