What is the max sixe of a background

So I do art scenes for my own story. But I had some withdrawing small details because my pencils can’t get that small. and I thought maybe if I draw on a bigger background I could make them better. I draw in minimum size background-size they have to be, and it nowhere says what its max can be.

I honestly don’t know what’s the max size of a background, but you can always resize it later

resize ruins the quality.

Draw in the biggest setting you can for the character and make sure it is png then your background have it already set at the size you need then you can place your character in the background and save it.
