What I see a lot of in Episode stories:
- Shy girls
- Bad boys
- Alpha males
- Gangs/mafia
- Toxic relationships
- Love triangles, squares, pentagons, etc.
- High school settings

Adding onto @kahotshot’s list:
- Girls that are shown eating a lot (usually as a joke/for comedy but it’s never funny)
- Bad boys with tragic pasts (almost always a dead sibling/parent)
- Gangs/mafia stories that are based on Hispanic or Italian characters (and then they just throw in dialogue in their language every once in awhile, which isn’t how they actually speak)
- P.R.E.G.A.N.C.Y
- Glorified relationships between students and teachers/professors
- Glorified relationships between people and their bosses (which is fine ig but it’s usually the same plot)
- Shy girls/good girls that are abusive and/or suddenly become badasses
- Relationships that start from being kidnapped (just… why)

Glasses and braces make you ugly
The token gay or black friend
Sugar baby relationships
Poor broke MC meets Prince/CEO/Mob Boss and is forced into a relationship
Eating food is a personality trait
Being stalked and/or kidnapped is sexy
Fat girl becomes skinny now everyone wants to date her or be her friend
Dating the popular boy makes the popular girls that bullied you want to be your new best friend
Best friend that is a party animal dragging their antisocial, introverted friend to parties then complains about you being a buzz kill
Forced relationships or marriages
Mafia stories
Falling in love with your friend’s dad/brother/twin
Teacher student relationships

Omg I didn’t even think about the glasses and braces thing. Like “Haha you have glasses nerd” and “you’re so ugly with glasses/beautiful without them” and stupid stuff like that. I’ve had glasses since I was 8, so going on 12 years now. I wear them because I’m blind asf, not to look ‘smart’ or whatever. And having glasses (and braces) literally does nothing to your appearance 
Nor do they make me smart lol but man I wish
And the gay friend and black friend thing is annoying. Like what is this, Netflix?
