What stuff do you like to see in a comedy story and what stuff do you not like to see?

i like to see references to well known memes, vines etc as well as original scenes that make me laugh. a perfect combination is just :relieved: uhhh idk what i don’t like to see. make it flow naturally , i guess ? also just complete randomness all the time isnt funny when so many people think it is grggfhjdisjrsg

Sometimes I like it when people take jokes way too seriously and take it to action or if there’s one person that is acting different at the wrong time, place, and occasion. I think it’s hard to put humour in episode but if well executed it could turn out to be one of the best stories on episode as there aren’t many comedy genre stories in here. (If this was not a question about comedy in episode stories then just forget what I said )

Also, not crossing the lines is very important. Right now people are figuring out their sexualities of who they really are and fighting for their own races. If you make a joke out of these…that’s a HUGE dislike from many others.

When you write comedy - after you’ve written a joke, make sure to think back to see if it is disrespecting or disregarding anyone. Or maybe you could ask your friend or someone you know to check it out for you and let a third person see if there are any that crossed the line.
Be careful just to be safe.

Hope this helped! :+1:

Heart warming scenes, zooms, smart/sassy/creative replies, etc are things I love.
Some jokes never get old. But some do, so be careful of that. :joy:
Don’t include too many references, because not everyone will get them (like me, cause I live under a rock  :joy:), or they might know where the reference comes from, but not make the connection, because they’re either not familiar with it or just don’t make the connection.

Good punchlines, funny situations and not just ‘crazy’ characters that yell how much they love food lol
