Naming them doesnā€™t help. If we download it to phones, name is gone.

If itā€™s a problem with Alexaā€™s watermark, and any other editorā€™s watermark, why did Episode say in the email the problem was Episode assets?

Because sheā€™s using those assets and then putting her watermark on them, which can come across as itā€™s all hers.

I actually donā€™t use Pixabay that much any more. Kiss png is quite good, also pngimg. Thereā€™s a few others but I canā€™t recall their names off the top of my head :thinking: but you need to ensure even when using free png sites, that the images are free for use. Many require the designers to be credited.

Exactly. I understand Alexa wants to be recognized for the time and work she puts into her backgrounds, but there are other ways to go about it besides a huge watermark.

Yes, I donā€™t watermark my BGā€™s on my drive. 1. It looks rubbish for the person using it and 2. I didnā€™t make all the assets (like Episodes for example). I do however only use free to use and ones that do not require credit for the designer. Completley free to use only. I put my username in the file name. If you download on phone, tablet or PC, unless you specifically rename it, it downloads with the original file name given. I know, Iā€™ve downloaded all this way to make sure :grin:

I donā€™t think the issue is the watermark. Alexa never mentioned anything about watermarks in her IG story. If you read screen shots 1 and 2 from above, she mentions that Episode doesnā€™t want anyone editing their backgrounds anymore.

ā€œto not produce anymore backgrounds with episode assets and distribute themā€

So basically Episode is becoming stingy as hell.

Next thing you know Episode will start rejecting covers because they have Episode characters on them :roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes::roll_eyes:

There are some free assets on pngimg, you just need to be careful which you use.

Not even on kisspng images are good for Episode.
Under every png is a license and I never found any that can be used in our case.

Phone and tablet too. Most of the time, I use my tablet to download and the file name is saved.
