What would you refer to this hairstyle as?

Hi all,

I just wanted to make sure I am appropriately naming this hair style in my script.

The context of this, is that one of my character’s has this type of hair. Another character is speaking of how she loves the rain, but my character with this type of hair responds saying that the rain isn’t kind to her hair… how would I refer to this type of texture? Would I just refer to it as afro textured?

I just want to make sure I am being culturally appropriate.

I wouldn’t really call that afro… I think you can just say curly hair or curls?

Or if you want to stay neutral just said “my hair”.

I know you get different types of curls such as 3A, Type 4 etc. I wasn’t sure where this hair style would fit.

This is the piece of script:

LUCY
I’m a morning person!
There is nothing better than the sunshine and crisp morning air!

GISELLE
It’s raining…

LUCY
Don’t be a party pooper!
The rain will freshen up the air!

GISELLE
You don’t have to worry; you haven’t got ___________ hair…

So I wanted to be specific, without culturally misappropriating it.

This would be the loose hair version of this style:

Yeah, I would also probably say “curly hair” or “curls” as @Martini_98 suggested. It looks like 2C/3A to me, but hair typing isn’t always representative of how the hair will react to rain or humidity and other such things :))
