I got a early access with skip the wait combo last week, came back that 1 week wait later all of a sudden I had an 11hr wait today roughly 24hrs later I wetn on and it said wait 1hr, it finished (I’m not going to name the story) but I was upset.
Then on another story it said wait 11hrs for 6 chapters I was like ok. I wait till the next day because I didn’t want to count 11hrs (I get about 10-12hrs of sleep every night) so I came back and it said wait 1hr, I waited 1 hr it said wait 1hr. 2hrs after that the next chapter opened. Lets just say I was very upset.
Lastly the same day (taody) as that second story I was reading a story and it said wait 1hr for 1 episode, so I waited 1 hr and ended up waiting 3hrs for 1 chapter rather then 1.
So what’s my thoughts, I hate (and i mean hate) these features. Sure it helps authors but I would like to read the story. So I don’t like these features.

Honesty, i hate it. Even though i can buy it because i have Epiosde VIP i think it’s unfair to those who don’t have enough gems, especially when it’s like 20 gems sometimes… readers look to the community because of the episode only stories have become so gem forfilled and now authors are doing this? i know that they need to add more gem options due to the new ranking situation however, there are plenty of other ways to do that.
Also, i think whenever you’ve finsihed your chapter, you should just release it.

Personally, I like the feature and I can see how this could be beneficial to everyone if used properly. (and equally annoying to readers who are running low on gems!) I don’t particularly care for the gem amount being “set” and I would love options such as: 5(min), 10 (med). 15(max)… (unless it is already that way?) That said, I guess that puts the gem cost of 8 right between the low-med range, which seems pretty reasonable for those who want to charge gems for early access. I can see how more popular stories could charge 15, where-as less popular stories can charge less to try and compete for readers. I also like that writers are able to opt out of doing this if they would like.

I DESPISE IT! Especially, since my favorite stories are updated after a month or even longer, and then only ONE released episode is free, and I have to wait a WEEK to read the next one. That’s bullshiet.

I buy the $14.99 unlimited reading on all stories, no ads, 70 free gems a month VIP Amethyst package so I don’t have to deal with it anymore thankfully- guess if Episode is getting money from you somehow they’re happy 
but when I did I obviously didn’t like it because it’s basically a ‘spend money on gems or wait 30 days and 30 nights to save up on free gems or wait 30 days and 30 nights for the hours to pass until you can read again’ option and it’s even worse on longer stories (stories with 40-50 or more chapters) because it’d pop up every 2-4 chapters so it’d get INSANELY expensive if you did it every time until you finished the story and for me it’d make me drop the story entirely because it wasn’t enjoyable- when I find a story I like and am in the mood to read i’ll binge it in one sitting until i’m done so I wasn’t able to do that plus I have a bad memory so by the time the 11-24 hour hold was up and I could read again i’d completely forget what even happened in the last chapters.
I get that Episode has to make money but in my opinion I feel like it’s only hurting them and more importantly hurting the authors because instead of it getting them gems it’ll just make them lose readers cause we’ll get annoyed and will just stop reading.
Got me thinking tho- since my VIP package let’s me bypass having to pay to read more I wonder if authors still get gems from me
