When to use the "&" command?

#1

something like this example:

INT. BLACK - NIGHT with OVERLAY
&overlay

and it continues.

when do i use the “&” command?

You use & when you don’t want something to be interrupted or stopped by other lines. For example, if you want a character to walk on the screen while the narrator is saying something you use &.

&CHARACTER walks to ____
NARRATOR
Type whatever you want here.

If you use @ for this instead of & then the character will walk first and when they reach the spot is when the narrator box will pop up.
