I’ve never seen any characters from Balkan cuz some people have never heard of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. I kinda feel like we don’t even exist :skull:

I’m Croatian btw :croatia:

Not all Russian people are bad (obviously, there’s like 14 billion people in it). But, I’d argue it’s because of the reputation it has as a corrupt and fascist country. It doesn’t help that (most) of the people aren’t exactly known to be accepting or even tolerable. But that doesn’t mean all Russian people are.

Unfortunately people usually work with what they’ve heard about Russia and how people live and behave there, and just use that. In reality, it has a lot to offer. Like ballet and caviar :man_shrugging: I’d still like to see the representation.

I wouldn’t call these ethnicities so much as I would call them nationalities…

In fact, you really should change the title of your post because as a whole you just named white, black, asian, middle eastern, and indigenous people from different nations.

the Earth’s population is only 8 billion

Hmm. I have one story with a half Taiwanese MC and my 2 LI are Danish and Salvadoran. One side character is Haitian.
I have another story about a Filipino family. Their best friends are Scottish/Irish. I have yet to get into their true ethnicities.

I’ll keep all of this in mind for my story ahahah.

Btw my story has lots of Asians and Indigenous Asians (traditional and non-traditional ones too.).

It’s called Tribe of Malapinchi.

Actually most of these are countries not truly ethnicities. For example Malaysia is a country but if you wish to refer to ethnicity: Malays, Chinese, Indians etc. Some might even go far back as Astronesians. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’m actually writing my friend into my story and she’s from Argentina

and tbh, I haven’t seen many latin american characters in stories other than the ā€œsassy latinaā€ friend :skull:

I have pretty much never seen an Indian character (I have seen extras wearing saris in the background but that’s all)

I see most latinas portrayed as super loud and outgoing around anyone, but in reality, not everyone is like that :skull:

she is! and if i’m being honest, she can be very outgoing and ā€œsassyā€ around her close friends like me, and she’s hilarious
but it’s just very stereotypical when ALL latinas and latinos are portrayed as ā€œcrazyā€ :skull:
