I’m sorry that I said something implying your points were equivalent to colonization–because they’re not. The colonization was meant to serve as a contrast. It was in bad taste, and I apologize. I do think that using cultural features in a mocking way is very wrong, and I hadn’t addressed the beauty standards. I understand the frustration behind large lips being portrayed as “fake,” especially since they are (beautiful!) natural features that are perpetuated as “ugly” when used on the mean girl.
And mentioning the history of beauty standards is relevant, as well as valid.
What I was getting at was that they were being more crass, as you said.
