Why does episode buy stories from other people?!?!?

As you can see from title why do they like buy really famous stories???

So they can make money off the featured versions. They’re a business. Profit is the goal. If community stories are popular, they’re often bought with the assumption that the featured version will also be popular - especially in gaining new readers because new readers now have to read so many chapters in featured stories to unlock the whole catalogue, including community stories.

I think most of the stories that are features, the writers are 18 or older

Yes. Episode buys these stories and pays the authors lol. They don’t just take the rights.

There can be exceptions with a parent or guardian signature I believe.
