I stupidly decided to waste time making a mini-game instead of coding my story
Anyways, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. Would anyone be interested in the game if I were to post it?
About the Game
It includes all the overlays and backgrounds.
So basically, the MC gets to pick his/her own meal. It uses tappable overlays.
I’ve created two versions, I can’t decide which one I’m using, though
The First One:
It involves reading a menu (in pictures and words) and picking what you want for an appetizer, meal/entree, a side dish, a drink, and dessert.
It’s not a “formal setting,” but the reader is looking at the placemat/table with the MC’s arms on the side (I’m working on getting overlays for every skin color in female, I will do male later). A few seconds later (you can include conversation or something in this part) the server brings out the food in order and you get it.
The Second One:
This one, your character is at a “Serve Yourself” type area. There are food overlays as the reader moves from section to section with Starters (Appetizers), Entrees, Side Dishes, Drinks, and Dessert.
It’s a much more casual setting. I have the tray and arm overlays (still working on), and the food overlays (subject to change, the mac and cheese doesn’t really look like mac and cheese).
Included are the general overlay and backgrounds:
- Included with Both
- Food Overlays
- Hand Overlays (Working on) (Male and Female)
- Plate and Glass Overlay
- First Version
- Name of Food Overlays
- Additional plates and utensils
- Second Version
- Tray Overlay
These are the foods included so far. I may change some if they don’t look right.
- Vegetable Stuffed Mushrooms*
- Mini Ham and Cheese Quiche
- Classic Wedge Salad*
- Roasted Turkey and Kale Panini
- Spaghetti and Meatballs
- Lemon Grilled Salmon
- Side Dish
- Mac and Cheese
- Roasted String Beans and Broccoli*
- Garlic Bread
- French Fries
- Ice Cream (Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream)
- Pie (Apple, Pumpkin, Chocolate Cream)
- Cake (Vanilla, Chocolate, Ice Cream (Vanilla and Chocolate))
- Chocolate Chip Cookies
Note: There is a vegan/vegetarian option in every section. An asterisk signifies this.
It includes the code itself, the overlays, and backgrounds.
At the end there is a little blurb (reader message) crediting me so you don’t have to do it yourself.
Now, does this sound like something you’d want?
- I’d need to know more
Which one would you want? I might add both, but that’s a big maybe.
- The First
- The Second
