Would it be weird to promote another story within a story?

I’m currently writing a story and and at the start the MC is watching a movie. Would it be weird to promote my other story by putting a small clip (no spoilers) as the movie or would this bother you? As I say it wouldn’t be anything that could spoil it, it would just be a short snippet used as a film…

What do you guys think?

will you give credit to the author when the movie plays? and also do you have the authors permission? if yes to both things, its completely fine. my friends are promoing eachothers stories in our own just for fun (:

Think of it as a trailer, you’re just promoting your other story. Great idea!!!

I don’t think so I mean when people write featured stories when they completely finish it recommends another story afterwards. But I don’t think it’s too bad. 🤷

yeah its your story. self promo is more than alright in your story. as long as your not in evry chapter like. read my other story
