EDIT: Thank you Danielle for the suggestion for my story, I just got the perfect concept!
EDIT 2: I’m deleting the description in case someone copies it. Also I got the idea at one in the morning and now I see that it low-key sucked.

Kind of.

Maybe the MC is from another universe/time frame and she travels here while trying to travel back in time and is sucked in here right after her doppelganger dies so no ones is supious that she is there.
