It’s a good concept, she essentially falls in love with the character she imagined herself as when reading the story! I would definitely read it and understand why the LI has to be female.
It would be interesting to know if we know how the story plays out at the beginning or only as we reach certain critical points and would you make choices matter, so the original ending is possible?
