Hi! thanks for the feedback
So in the beginning, the reader will know a summary of how the ORIGINAL fairy tale is supposed to go… but its kind of from a biased perspective (told to favour other characters) hence why the MC prefers the princess and despises the pirate, however when the MC is trapped IN the tale… its all different- some key plot points are the same, like the pirate leading the rebellion and the rebellion itself, but otherwise- its told from the perspective of the pirate… which opens the MC’s eyes to other perspectives than the one the narrative told her…
I am unsure at the current stage if I will have the original ending possible, leaning towards it though!
Choices WILL matter in the sense you could lose the people fighting for you, you have to convince people to step up for the cause etc…
Example of this being:
Meet random royal servant, here is some info about her, wanna try convince her to give you information? NOTE: Impressing her might earn you a potential messenger and may help you recruit more rebellion fighters Etc
whereas if she is not impressed she may alert the royal guard about suspicious activity…
Im thinking of also making multiple rebellion paths…
where as a leader of the rebellion the MC can choose to try earn points through a “sneaky” rebellion, A “powerplay” rebellion or a “unsuspecting power” rebellion etc these are just examples and may change none of what I am saying is set in stone just ideas im thinking of and planning
The sneaky rebellion would be a result of having High stealth points when speaking of the rebellion which would be earned through not openly speaking of a revolution in places where spies could be present, or through making risky plays by attempting to recruit the inner circles of the royal family, eg noble families, guards, servants.
The powerplay rebellion would be a result of having high leader points when speaking openly about the rebellion to create chaos and make it the biggest rumor to create fear/distrust within the ranks of social hierarchy, eg telling lies (or truths) of how many guards and nobles you have recruited and how many fighters you have (or havent) recruited…
and then unsuspecting power would be on deceptive points possibly, obtained through causing small spurts of rumors to confuse the other side and make them believe the rebellion is as small as a match, whilst having the fighter size of a bonfire.
but yeah so everything I have said in this message is subject to change, these are just a few cogwheels that have been turning in my mind.
