I listen to mostly orchestral music when I’m writing because I’m really bad with words. Speaking, listening, reading, writing, especially all at the same time. Like, I can’t process two sets of words at once, so I listen to a lot of Audiomachine, Hiroyuki Sawano (he’s THE MAN!), Two Steps From Hell.
Or even things that might have words but are easy to ignore because the music is so epic, like even a lot of Within Temptation, Eurielle, or Zack Hemsey.

But my brain can hardly STAND songs without lyrics (unless they got rockin beats which make up for it) I like to multi task while writing, so I always end up screaming song lyrics while writing out scenes (just some how helps me focus better)

That is some superhuman stuff.
I can’t even hear words being said if I’m trying to speak or write. If I am trying to conjure words, they are the only words I can deal with. LOL
That’s why I stop talking really fast if someone else starts saying something. I want to hear what they’re saying, and I won’t if I’m still trying to talk.
