So I have an idea for a story that i’m pretty happy with but when it comes to writing out the actual episodes I get stuck. I know what I want to happen but it just feels like I dont know how to get it there if that makes sense???
Help lol. im dying over here
haha i struggle with this sometimes too. I like to have a piece of paper with all the main plot points/scenes that I want in that episode. Then I start writing after I have my episode laid out, and I add in all the dialog and details while I’m writing.
hope that helped (:
Start with a sentence and let it flow
Maybe you should try writing out your scenes before hand. I write out the scenes before hand like its happening in a book, and then I add the spot directing and dialogue and etc.
One thing I like to do is make outlines for the chapter before I write it. I structure my scenes using vignettes. For example:
That way, if I get stuck on a certain spot, I know where I need to end up and can write my dialogue towards that point, or I can write backwards from that point and connect the dots with a bit of editing.
Also, it’s good to step away from your story and take a break. That’s usually when the inspiration hits me. It’s especially helpful to watch T.V., read a book, or otherwise engage in another story. You might just come up with the solution you need by taking inspiration from other media.
