Here you go, they categorized every aspect of the coding.

i couldnt find anything about coding. i mean ive done all of the steps there but i dont know the coding like how they move and talk. where can i get help

Pretty much sure it’s there, but alright
For example, if you want to use simple directing with movement:
@CHARACTER1 walks to screen (left or right or center) in (instert time of walking like 2 or 3) AND CHARACTER1 faces (right or left) AND CHARACTER1 is (pick motion like walk_sad)

If you want to use advanced directing with movement:
Instead of writing screen left or right, write spot and the coordinates of your character
Ex,
@CHARACTER1 walks to spot 1.000 100 100

As for the talking you have a variety of options you could choose from ā€œAnimationsā€ in your writer portal.
You incorporate them in this way:
CHARACTER 1 (talk_shrug)
Did you have a good day today?
CHARACTER 2 (talk_happy_smile)
Yes I had a great day, what about you?
CHARACTER 1 (talk_gossip)
It was alright I guess.

Hopefully that helped, anything else? :yum:

Idk if this will help you, but in my latest story, I hold off publishing until I have a batch to release. So I usually go a few months without updating. In terms of ranking, I usually start slipping down the ranks a few days before I plan to publish, but then once I publish, everyone has something to binge read, so it boost my rank up again

OMG really that’s so cool! I’ve never published batch of episodes so i’m not quite sure how it will go but risk sometimes benefits. However @amberose and @Qamar_J_S my story is actually of thriller genre. As a reader would you guys continue reading a thriller story with 3 relesed episodes if the author releases the next one after a month?

I like a good cliffhanger :smirk:

Yeah, honestly releasing in batches was more of a personal experiment for me to see if it helped.
But yeah, of course I’d still keep reading. My favorites list is full of stories that haven’t updated in 3+ months

I think I can take it as a yes. The 3rd episode did end with a terrible cliff hanger.

And @amberose thank you for sharing your personal experience with me.I’ll give batches a try this time and publish both episodes together.I hope my readers enjoy reading both at once. However after the two episodes my story will be complete so maybe if the future readers read all five episodes together then it might affect my story rank in a good way. Also if you like you can give my story a chance as well. It’s called LURKING IN THE SHADOWS

Oh yeah, absolutely! I’ve also found from a different personal experience that ticking completed on a story also gives you a massive boost too (there are lots of people who only read stories once they’re finished), so I’m sure either way you’ll experience a little spike :slightly_smiling_face:

So… like… I have to finish five+ episodes by Monday… I’m like inhales forgetting to breath

  • 80% done with Episode 36
  • 70% done with Episode 37
  • 20% done with Episode 38
  • 10% done with Episode 39
  • 40% done with Episode 40
  • (0% done with 41-42)

^ 38/39 are really long. I will prob have to cut out scenes in both. I know my readers will totally understand if I need an extra day but I need this done - no more procrastinating. I will frking finish this mother fiksng story

I’ve been really happy with my story so far. I’ve completed 4-5 episodes and I’m already on to my 6th! But I think this has made me impatient to wait for things like backgrounds or overlays <.>

You go girl!

Yeah it gets annoying at times but the end product is totally worth it

Woo, this was the nudge I needed because I need feedback/advice/someonetotellmewhattodo

So back in October I posted on this thread about ā€œrevampingā€ a story.

And I’ve been slowly doing it, nearly finished the first episode, hoping to focus on it more now that I have holidays. Question is, do I post the first revamped episode once it’s ready and lock the others? Or do I hold off until I have three? Part of me wants to post it just because the covers are nice lol
