Writers' Cave šŸ’

Okay, so this guy just rolled a grenade and we see the grenade and fade out. And in the previous episode I left the reader where these 2 characters were shooting each other, and then I pick up there. Do you think that this would be okay? Or is it too messy?

Hmm, if it works with your story, I think ending with the grenade sounds better than the shooting because the grenade is like fast-reaction panic.

However, I don’t think it’s messy if you do it the way in the example you gave me, it’s just a bit repetitive to use the same scene as a cliff hanger twice if that makes sense

Okay, thank you!

Omg YESSSSS!!!

Does adding #beat starts/ends relevant?

Nah, it’s more of a note but doesn’t affect your script

Okay, thank you!

What are some ideas you think fellow readers would enjoy reading about? E.G. twists on endings, sad endings, or a plainly creative idea that nobody’s thought about yet? (None of those cliches, but something that’s original, inventive, and creative)?

Every idea is cliche but I personally would love to read/write about:

-A girl who lives in a super anti-gay/lesbian society questions it then finds a lesbian with whom she journeys to heaven to talk to God to once and for all determine who is really wrong and who is really right (note that this is very risky and will be heavily influenced by the author, but I’d personally love to see this!)

-A boy who has this huge crush on a girl, and finally has the chance to be with her but can’t cause he has lice (LOL)

-A girl or guy who marries their best friend for papers (legality papers), and are constantly being watched by immigration in order to expose the girl and the guy’s marriage as fake and finally deport the girl.

That’s all I have honestly, but those are my solid ideas. I’ve got a lot of raw ones in my head all the time.

Lice are so underrated.

Woah, these are actually great (even the lice one lol). I can imagine them as episode stories that would only be short, like 5-10 episodes long, but also be very well rounded

Yessss I absolutely love romantic comedies (about the lice idea) :joy:

Yeah, they’d probably be pretty short (especially the one with lice), but you’re right, they would be very thorough and well rounded.

We gotta have people write stories about this!!

Yeah, maybe. I was planning to write some of them or maybe suggest them someday, but there’s too many to get them all. Plus, people are super busy with their own stories already.

Side note (sorta): I really want to transition into doing shorter stories. Like ideally no more than 12 episodes but more likely between 6 to 10 for this exact reason! Trouble is… I am in the middle of a long episode series (as in multiple seasons planned :woman_facepalming:) and the revamp that I’ve mentioned on this thread (that I’m so close to actually getting done, I swear!) is also going to be a long series too :woman_facepalming::woman_facepalming:

I understand what you mean. Shorter stories are not easier to write but definitely more manageable and contain less filler. Also, wow, you’ve been working really hard.
