tip: when you have readers imagine the whole story do not overwhelm them with more than 2 or 3 characters at once (per chapter/scene depending on length) or else you are leading them down a dark road of not knowing who anyone is

Good advice right here!

I would say planning and character development is VERY important so that your readers understand what’s going on. If you ever want tips or help I can try to help cause I am writing 2 novels.

Actually, in my story, there are these foster kids who escaped from home. It’s 4 children. So idk how I can develop them :joy::joy: or if it’s a good idea

It is a good idea. But develop them like how they grow. Like make mistales and learn from them.

a plot where the protagonist already has a plot twist in the first chapter/opening of the story so that it could spark up a flame of interest in the reader’s heart
