Hola peeps!!! Okay!! I’ve been watching every movie, reading every book, researching, and just trying to find something that can help me with this!! But, I remembered the amazing people in the Episode community and was wondering if you guys know anything about Cancer! Leukemia specifically!!! Thank you guys so much!! And, so sorry if I spelled Leukemia wrong!!
It can be hereditary, for example on my dad’s side many of my family members (grandparents, aunts/uncle, etc…) have died or had surgery to remove it. Idk how the term in english is but cancer can be like “good” and “bad” (sorry I don’t know how they say it in English) so if u have the good one, it won’t affect u. My grandfather got the “good one” so he has to take it multiple times each year with surgery. My grandma for example had the bad one instead, which is why she died and had to be in the hospital unlike my grandpa.
Wow! Thank you!
U might want to look up the terms, cause definitely it’s not “bad” and “good” and another thing, ur hair doesn’t fall cause of the cancer but the treatment (i forgot the name of that too)
I’ll research it! Again, thank you!!
There are different kinds of leukemia, some more aggressive than others.
American Cancer Society is a reputable source to learn more:

Leukemia and Lymphoma society:

Wow, thank you! Everyone in the community is being so helpful!
I want to write a story about Albinism! I know nothing about Cancer, but I feel like it would be a very heartfelt story.
Yeah! I’m hoping so!
Bummpp!!
hi (: my mom had cancer when I was little so I know a little bit, not too much tho. depending on the type it can take years or can grow really suddenly. there’s (theoretically) five stages 0-IV with 0 being where it all began, slowly growing over the stages getting into other tissues until it hits stage IV when it spreads or metastasizes to another organ. my mom found hers in her early 30’s at stage II shortly before the cells were about to reproduce (hers was very slow, but not all are). things may have changed since then in the medical field, but at the time radiation and chemo was kind of the standard (maybe theyve found more natural ways since then). for radiation therapy, they put you in a big machine and try to shrink the tumors with (radiation I guess? idk not a doctor, was just a kid at the time). apparently it makes you feel like you just got beaten up, because in a sense your cells did. chemo is administered through an IV drip, so you can get it at the hospital or an outpatient clinic, and you do it in a certain number of “rounds”. chemo is pretty much poision that kills whatevers in its path, good or bad. it can make you really sick, lose your hair (gradually), and pretty much you have no immune system because it wipes out everything it sees so you got to be careful going out in public. that’s all i can think of for rn, but youre welcome to ask me whatever. but again, medicine changes a lot over time and i was kinda young
Hi! Thank you so much! This is real helpful!!
This is a great idea, go for it!
I recommend searching about symptoms and stories about it first to really grasp and think about what message and emotions you want to convey in your story! It is so great that you want to write about Cancer.
Thank you!
