Writing two stories at once?

I was just hoping for some advice.

I am working on my sixth episode for a story that I’m hoping to have around 8-10 episodes. I started another story a while ago but I was less experienced in directing so I gave up and continued writing my current one.
Would you recommend finishing the story I am currently working on or is it ok to write two at once. I know this is a tough question to answer as everyone has different stuff going on but I basically want to know if it’s a better idea to just finish this one first.

Thanks guys!

What I would say to do, in my opinion, is to finish the current one now, and leave the old story for later. You could write two at once, but I find it laborious, and it’s make the process more complicated than it needs to be. But do whatever suits you!

It all depends on yourself as a writer. Personally I’m working on two regularly updated stories at the same time. [Plus two other less regularly updated, so that makes it 4.]
Plus six other unpublished stories. [So ten in total] And although it’s very hard work… I manage. Even whilst giving regular updates for certain published stories.
I think it’s because when my motivation for one story lacks… I then have 9 other stories to choose from. Which means I’m not giving myself long breaks from writing, but instead pouring my energy [and any free time I get] into my other works in progress… and this tends to prevent writers block.

So if you’re managing okay, then I say do it however you like. But if you find yourself struggling to keep up… then maybe you’d be better off finishing the first one before starting the second. But only you know yourself well enough to understand what you need. And don’t worry, you’ll find your flow… different things work for different people.

Im kinda mixed so…
As someone who is writing multiple stories at once I highly recommend doing them separately not only is it just difficult to do but at some point, the stories kinda clash together for me at least. But just do what you are comfortable with, try doing both if you want and if u get tired or burnt out let go of the older one for the time being and focus on your newer story. I will say this tho when you focus on one story and give it your undivided attention it will turn out better.

You’re welcome!

Only you know what you can handle, it’s really not for anyone else to tell you what is right or wrong. Everyone is different.

For me I can handle my 10 stories perfectly fine and still manage to maintain high quality writing and directing every single time. [Is it tiring and stressful?! Ugh, like you wouldn’t believe… but the end result is so worth it.]
Focusing on just one story is actually dangerous for me, because personally… that’d only end up resulting in writers block. And I couldn’t go all that time without writing something. Writing has been a huge part of my life and such a huge passion of mine, ever since I was a little girl.
But as I said before… my technique may not work for you or others, just as theirs certainly wouldn’t work for me.

I usually jump around I have ten stories I’ve been working on . Some were Mangas I’m working on publishing and some are episode. I tend to get uninspired with the story, going back to it helps me continue it. Writing a lot of different personalities is stressful. Currently I’m publishing two stories this month. If you don’t get into the flow of the story it’s better to take a break. Stories sometimes get held for year’s until it’s finally finished which is alright. It’s better to have a consistent story than a half rushed one.

Write it down into a novel first then separate it into pieces. That’s what I do because if I would just write it straight into characters on episode it may not make sense. Then split it into part’s. The directing comes last. That’s just what I do for episode.
