Y'all, I'm so conflicted! 😭

I’ve been back and forth on Episode and been leading other users into thinking I would write a story on Episode! I’m so sorry for that! Anyway, I’ve been thinking of continuing my discontiued high school story that I talked about in 2020, but I’m not sure where to start! And frankly, I’m scared of ending back in the same boat where I log off for some time and never write again and think about again it a year later.

So… do you want to see me write a high school story and not get discouraged ever again?

If so, why?

(P.S. I just created a new Epi Writer Portal and Episode account to start over if I decide to start over on writing my high school story and get inspiration from other stories.)

I think you should definitely write a story!! I started my first one last year and still didn’t release it since I’ve been very busy, and logged off of it for about six months. Despite that, I think writing is an excellent way to explore your creativity, spend spare time, and have fun!! It also helps to practice your English and work on spelling and grammar, and coding skills. Episode is a platform that also allows you to meet new people and learn about different cultures and sexualities! I wouldn’t say never again to get discouraged, it happens, sometimes your too busy or lose interest and motivation, which is totally understandable, but even if that happens you can take a break and go back to writing after a while, don’t give up! And on top of that if your story thrives, and is successful, you can earn money from it or potentially become noticed and acquire a writing profession, like Melia A. did (she turned her episode story Him & I into a real novel :astonished:!).
So overall, even if you lost some motivation, I encourage you to write your story  !

Thanks for the encouragemnet! Once I create time for myself, I’ll make sure that this is what I really want to do!

Of course! And yea, I left out the key factor to only do it if it’s something that could interest you and you would take enjoyment out of. Let me know if you ever need any help!

Update: I’ve recreated the characters for this story again and found some stories on Episode to see if I can get any inspiration for them! I’ll make time to read them and tale notes on what I find appealing!

That’s a great idea!

I don’t know why anyone would flag this post…

Anyway, if you’re feeling it, you should definitely write it!
But if you’re doing it to please other people, I advise you to think about it thoroughly, because creating a story and coding it into something readable and publishing to the community takes a lot of effort and discipline. That alone is discouraging enough.

Somehow it’s ā€œoff-topicā€ to the mods, even though I clearly mentioned what it was about. :expressionless:

Oh, I definitely am! I know there is a way to make a story that pleases me and the readers!

I mean, you would want to write a story because you want to tell a story, that’s what motivates you to end the story. Since you did mention that you got discouraged and, quote you:

That’s why I advise you to be clear with your motives. Readers don’t always like your story, and pleasing everyone is just impossible. That could discourage you more, so yeah :eyes:
