I’m confused on how to make my other character respond to the choice the reader made for the character picking the choice

KYLIE
(How should I respond?)

“Be sarcastic.”{
KYLIE (eyeroll)
Oh. Yeah. That just makes me feel so much better.
}
“Be polite.”{
KYLIE (talk_apathetic)
I guess that makes me a bit more relieved.
}

Now how do I make it so the other character is responding to whatever choice the reader has made?
