Since I allowed my reader to design their character, how would I make it so the parents share some of the same features too?

You have to add their family member to the customization template.
Ie.
“Blonde”{
@YOU changes hair to Blonde
@SIS changes hair to Blonde
}
(I don’t think that is the correct code for hair change.)
