I think it depends on whether the character is an established person, or if you’re letting the reader CC and name them. I for the first, you for the second.

So if I let you cc and choose the name you’d prefer first person narration else second person narration. Lmk if I got you incorrect.

I like the first one, it is more personal. You can feel the embarrassment more in my opinion.
