Can somebody clear up what thread hopping is?

Hey can anybody explain what thread hopping is??? I thought I understood it and I’m not new to the forums but i still don’t understand it. I thought it meant requesting the same thing on multiple threads, but then I saw a post just now and the wording kinda confused me.

Basically the person reads the only the first and or last post of the thread then jump to the bottom of it and make a reply and often ask questions that’s been answered or discussed in the thread

If you are talking about in terms of art shops ect. You’re actually correct! That is what thread hopping is.
