Sadly you can’t animate overlays. I suggest you could move the overlay side to side but, that will take a bit of time.
Try using a fire sound of some sort, it’ll cover up the fact that it’s not moving. Readers don’t really pay attention to detail that much. ( ˘ ³˘)
